Colonel Gaddafi was known for his brutal regime and lavish spending on weird luxury items.

Killed in 2011 by rebel forces, Gaddafi had a number of homes owned by him and his family, including one in the Libyan capital of Tripoli.

His daughter owned one city mansion complete with a golden statue of herself, along with a luxury bedroom and swimming pool.

Found in the family homes were strange items like a huge golden gun, a human skeleton model and jet ski.

Many items were looted as rebel forces took control of the country, with the colonel known for spending on expensive items - while his people lived in poverty and went hungry.

His private plane was also complete with silver interior.
