In Palworld, your various Pals know Active Skills and use these to attack other Pals when out fighting with you. These attacks have different elements to them, and do more damage against elements that they are strong against. Your Pals will get new active skills at specific levels, which are often more powerful than the previous ones, and allow you to fight stronger Pals.

If you're playing Palworld solo, make sure you catch these Pals.

You can teach Pals specific active skills using Skill Fruit, if you'd like them to have specific moves. There are some moves that are signature and locked to specific Pals, but these moves in this list are the more generalised ones that can be used on any Pal.

A Pal can have three Active Skills at a time, which you can swap between in the Palbox or Party Menu.

8 Wind Cutter

Quick And Effective

Wind Cutter is a Grass skill that allows your Pal to fire out high speed blades of wind directly at an enemy. Though this isn't the strongest attack that you can teach your Pal, it's one with a quick cooldown time.

The total cooldown time being two and the power being 30 means that you can almost spam this move out to do a lot of damage, especially if it's being used against a Pal that it is effective against.

7 Fireball

A Bunch Of Fire

Fireball is a Fire skill with a cooldown of seven and a power of 45. This attack shoots a bunch of fireballs towards an enemy. The fireballs then explode in the air, generating more fireballs that continue to spread forward.

6 Icicle Cutter

A Sweeping Attack

Icicle Cutter is an attack that creates a blade of ice and hurls it forward towards enemies. As the name would suggest, it's an Ice Skill. It has a cooldown of ten and a power of 55.

Icicle Cutter, depending on the Pal that is taught this move, can sweep across the ground and hit all the enemies in a wide line, which is very effective for small and medium-sized Pals.

5 Grass Tornado

Grass Tornado is a Grass skill. This move generates two tornadoes that appear on either side of the Pal, before they are launched at the enemy.

This attack has a cooldown time of 18 and a power of 80. This skill is particularly good at knocking back bosses or groups of enemies, so that they are not constantly attacking you and need to reposition.

4 Acid Rain

Acid Rain is an attack that has a quick cooldown and covers a larger area of the map, allowing you to take down Pals or enemies that travel in groups. This is a Water skill that has a cooldown time of 18 and a power of 80.

The attack itself rains down a bunch of acidic rain on a group of enemies. It's a decent attack at honing in your enemies and can destroy a larger range, which allows you to attack multiple enemies at once.

3 Lightning Strike

Lightning Strike is an Electric skill that can affect a large area. This skill calls down a rain of lightning, which electrocutes the surrounding area. It has a cooldown time of 40 and a power of 120, making it extremely dangerous to those you are against.

Not only does Lightning Strike look super impressive as the sky rains down in electricity, but it does so much damage to the entire field. This is a great skill for farming organs from Pals.

2 Hydro Laser

Hydro Laser is a Water skill that has a cooldown of 55 and a power of 150, so it's quite strong, but you will need to give it time to recharge. This attack shoots a large stream of water, which covers a big area in front of the Pal.

Not only does this attack do a lot of damage, it does cover a good area, which can really do some damage to Pals that are in groups or are a bit further away from you. Obviously, it's also ideal for those who are weak to Water.

1 Megaton Implode

Megaton Implode is a very interest neutral attack, that has a cooldown of 55 and a power of 500, making it a very powerful attack, but it is one that comes with a cost.

Using Megaton Implode will risk the life of your Pal. Your Pal will cause a massive explosion, killing themselves and dealing a massive punch of damage to whoever is nearby. This attack is sort of a last ditch effort, but can help a lot in a pinch!
