Dogs are a man's best friend, and that saying is certainly true when it comes to anime. Oftentimes, a cast just feels incomplete without the loveable four-legged best friend hanging around the protagonists. These companions are loyal and often help lead the heroes to victory, even if it's just a minor influence.
