Descriptions
Harem anime are defined by their vast roster of potential romantic partners, and an often male lead who becomes the focal point of multiple women's interest. When Urusei Yatsura all but introduced the subgenre through characters such as Lum and Ataru Moroboshi, it kick-started a niche that has continued to grow over the years in terms of popularity and, occasionally, the number of romantic prospects.
This year, everything from new slice-of-life anime to isekai power fantasies featured a harem dynamic at some point, but each show approached it differently. The one thing they all had in common was their ridiculously massive size. These modern anime joined the already long list of older anime with the biggest and funniest harems fans have ever seen.

Aijou Rentarou never had any luck with love, and was rejected by 100 women during junior high. The moment he entered high school, though, his life changed completely. Suddenly, the God of Love revealed himself to Aijou, explaining that 100 girls will fall in love with him over the next year as divine compensation for a clerical error that explained his prior misfortunes. But in a cruel twist of fate, those who fail to become his girlfriends will die.
While this may seem like a dark premise, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You is a cute and hilarious comedy. Even though Aijou is forced to commit to 100 girlfriends, he genuinely made time for every one of them, making them feel truly appreciated. It's easy to see why 100 girls would fall for Aijou. The anime just began, but it has yet to reveal all of Aijou's 100-strong harem.

15 Anime Characters Who Are As Sweet As They Look
Anime heroes like Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket not only look kind, but their sweetness goes all the way to their souls.Tousuke Rokudou attended Aomori High, a school for delinquents. Unfortunately, Rokudou was a kind, harmless boy. This led to him being mercilessly bullied by almost everyone in school. One day, he discovered a mysterious scroll his grandfather left him that held a secret power, causing every delinquent girl he met to instantly fall in love with him.
Rather than use this power to benefit himself, Tousuke improved the lives of every bad girl he met. Almost overnight, the school faced far less delinquency. While Tosuke may have a harem, he never took advantage of their feelings or forced them to do his bidding the way most other harem protagonists would. 10 Anime Where the Main Character Is Over 30
Anime often focuses on younger characters, but some series feature characters in their 30s, such as Gate's Yōji Itami and Spy x Family's Loid Forger.Daichi Tanaka was a 38-year-old man who enjoyed playing VRMMOs (virtual reality mass multiplayer online game) alone during his spare time. Unfortunately, he's a very likable person with a calm, caring, and understanding personality, making him a big hit among players and NPCs in the game "One More Free Life Online." While he wishes to be called "Earth" (the English translation of his name), his friends and other players started using a different nickname: "Fairy Seducer."
During a recent update, the developers introduced companions who can assist players. Earth was a Fairy-type player, and it quickly became apparent that he was so popular among Fairies. However, his profound popularity was a hindrance. The Fairy Queen informed him that he was unable to form a Fairy Contract with just one Fairy as it would cause an uproar among more than 80% of the Fairy Kingdom, who were eager to form a contract with him.

As such, Catarina attracted the romantic interests of a seemingly endless number of suitors. Catarina's honest, aloof, and humble personality made her an endearing and likable character, and her popularity was easy to understand.
During the anime's first two seasons, Catarina's potential romances included Rafael Walt, Sophia Ascart, Maria Campbell, Alan Stuart and Nicol Ascart. It's expected that she'll only attract more suitors as the anime continues. While Catarina had an array of potential romance options available from all corners of the visual novel Fortune Lover at all times, her one love that never changed was the one she had for sweets.

10 Creepiest Isekai Protagonists
Creepy protagonists like Skeleton Knight in Another World's Arc, and Kumoka from So I'm a Spider, So What? are unsettling, yet endearing.Yukito Urabe, Kamikatu's lead character, died an untimely death caused by his father's religious cult. But in a cruel twist of fate, faith becomes an important tool to gain power in this world, as the gods and evil godlike Archons gained strength by having devoted followers.

Dakini had more than 10,000 obsessed followers in her cultish harem, making her both well-loved and formidable in KamiKatsu's world. 2 Reito Mizuhara Was Pursued by the World’s Entire Female Population
Anime | World's End Harem |
---|---|
Based on | The manga written by LINK and illustrated by Kotaro Shono |
Number of anime | 1 anime |
Aired on | October 2021 |
World's End Harem pushed the anime harem to its logical extreme. The anime opened with Reito Mizuhara being forced to make a horrifying choice: either he goes into a cryogenic sleep until a cure for his cellular sclerosis is discovered, or face a painful death. Reito understandably chose the former, saying goodbye to his family and the person he loved, Elisa Tachibana.
Unfortunately, when he woke up, the world changed. Due to a seemingly diligent and very narrowly focused virus known as the "MK Virus" (i.e. the Man-Killer Virus), 99.9% of Earth's men died. This left the "heavy burden" of repopulating through procreation on the shoulders of Reito and the very few remaining men. Reito now had a harem that was literally half of Japan's population at least, and the world's entire female population at most.
