There are plenty of mods and cheats available now for Sons of the Forest, which can alter your gameplay in a variety of fun ways. Whether you just don't have the time, or you're finding managing everything hard work, console commands can be enabled to let you enjoy the game your way. In this guide, we'll cover how you can enable console commands, find a list of all available ones, and some to look out for.

There are lots of options to play around with. Just remember, always save your game before using any commands, cheats, or mods, just in case!

Console Commands for Sons of the Forest are currently available via the Mod Trainer, WeMod, along with a host of cheats.

The trainer and its mods are free to download and use; however, it does offer a subscription service that enables an in-game overlay and allows easier access to toggling cheats on and off. To use WeMod, simply download the trainer, select Sons of the Forest from "My Games" and hit play.

How to Turn on Console Commands

When the game loads up, you can open up your save file and activate Console Commands by pressing F10. This will Enable Debug Console.

When you've loaded up your game, press F1. This will bring up a list of all the available Console Commands and the bar where you can enter them.

For most of these commands, you'll need to add on or off after them. For example, godmode on. Otherwise will require different words to activate them, such as the seasons - for these you'll need to add each season at the end. When the command is successfully activated, it will say "command running" on the left side of the screen.

Which Console Commands to Use

Now you know how to use Console Command, let's cover some of the ones we think are useful:

Get All the Items

Don't want to explore the island unless you're well-equipped? No problem! There are a few different console commands that will unlock all items in the game and give you a full inventory. These are:

Addallitems
Addallstoryitems

Pick Up the Pace

Sometimes it can feel like your character is trudging through the island, so if you want to get around quickly, just activate speedy run!

Add Extra Kelvins

Accidentally killed your AI companion or just want some more help building, fishing, and foraging? You can summon more Kelvins with the following command:

Addcharacter robby
You can also use this for Virginia, or just Addvirginia

Turn on God Mode

If you want to peacefully explore the island without taking damage, turn on God Mode. Not only can you do this for yourself, but you can also do this for AI.

Godmode on/off
Aigodmode on/off

Skip Time and Seasons

If you prefer playing in the daylight, or just don't want to have to put up with Winter again, you can set the time of day and season to your liking. Use the commands:

Settimeofday morning/noon/night
Season + your choice of season

Hack Your Strength and Energy

You can fix your energy meter in seconds without consuming anything, and set your strength level to whatever you desire. Just use:

Energyhack
Setstrengthlevel + desired level

Turn On the Lights

If you're tired of using a torch or lighter inside those dark caves, just turn on the cave light command:
