Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's first season has released its mid-season patch, bringing with it two new weapons and a handful of new weekly challenges. Players can earn the new HRM-9 SMG through the Battle Pass, while this season's new LMG is tied to the Weekly Challenge system.

Complete five of this week's challenges to unlock the Ettin conversion kit for the AMR9.

This week's challenges encourage you to use aftermarket parts in all MW3 content, including core Multiplayer, MWZ, and Warzone. Complete any five of this week's challenges, and you'll unlock the new TAQ Evolvere LMG for use in all MW3 modes. This guide will give a brief overview of each challenge, offer tips for each challenge set, and quickly explain how the TAW Evolvere performs in Multiplayer.

Week 7 Challenge Reward

This week's challenge reward is the TAQ Evolvere, an LMG that can switch between 7.62 and 5.56 ammunition through Gunsmith attachments. Using 5.56 ammo will reduce the weapon's damage profile across the board, but it greatly improves the weapon's recoil control and slightly buffs its mobility and handling stats.

Get 3 fury kills with a recommended weapon.	10,000 XP

Tips

The optic objective lists the wrong attachment in-game. You must use the KR Intlas LSJ-3 optic to receive credit.
Use the JAK Beholder and Headhunter kits. Equip the Bullseye and Intlas LSJ-3 optics on each weapon.

Kill 500 enemies with a recommended weapon using Napalm Burst ammo.	10,000 XP

Tips

If you opt to use the Sidewinder, pair it with the JAK BFB muzzle to make its recoil manageable.
For the shotgun kills, use the Lockwood 680 with Slugs and the Defender Heavy Long Barrel.
- When Pack-A-Punched, the weapon fires ten slug projectiles per shot, giving it the highest DPS in MWZ.

In Urzikstan, get 10 operator kills in the eastern region (Military Base or Farms).	7,500 XP
In Urzikstan, get 10 operator kills in the central region (Old Town, Low Town).	7,500 XP
In Warzone, place in the top ten 5 times or complete a Covert Exfil.	10,000 XP

Tips

Play Plunder to earn easy kills and find ample loot caches.
Covert Exfils are currently unavailable in Warzone, so you can only complete the final challenge by placing in the top ten.
