Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed received an unexpected update today with the announcement of the Ghostbuster Contract Access Pack, saving players time by giving instant access to all Contract based cosmetic items.

An easy and more than justifiable purchase, especially for new players, including those who picked up the rechristened Ecto Edition on either the Nintendo Switch or Steam, the DLC marks the first paid add-on to Spirits Unleashed, which, alongside the unlockables, also includes five bonus “support” patches/shirt logos.

Headlined by the previously released gear sets, including The Real Ghostbusters, Extreme Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters: Answer the Call, and the uniquely designed ‘Fanatic’ shells, Illfonic has confirmed that the Ghostbusters Contract Access Pack will also give access to any future DLC contracts, becoming instantly unlocked in-game when available.

Regarding what’s not included, don’t expect any gameplay-altering or rank-unlocked gear/cosmetics, such as tenure reward costumes. Also, all Contracts and Research Contracts remain available and can still be completed for XP rewards.

Price is only $6.99, and is available now on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Epic, and Nintendo stores.

In other Spirits Unleashed news, earlier this month, a trailer retelling the game’s story was released, seemingly teasing more narrative, even being referred to as “the story so far.”

The possibility of added content coming to Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed shouldn’t be all that surprising, especially given the somewhat cliffhanger ending to the campaign found within the aptly timed Halloween update. After thwarting Samhain and completing the new story arc, players would be given a tease, being told that the Spengler family would soon be visiting the firehouse. While some assumed that this could’ve been a way to somewhat attach Spirits Unleashed to Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, an iced-over DLC with upgraded gear and red parkas could be in the cards, so stay tuned!
