However, there was a trick to beating The Sun. Since a powerful Stand and its Stand User must be close together, the team knew they could take out the user, who had to be nearby. Luckily, the team saw a reflection and was able to take out the Stand User who was hidden behind a mirror.

8 In Demon Slayer, Tanjiro Kamado's Sun Breathing Technique Is Rare And Powerful

Tanjiro Sun Breathing

Tanjiro Kamado started his training by learning the water-breathing techniques from Sakonji Urokodaki. However, as the series progressed, Tanjiro learned new powers. He thought back to memories of his father and the dances he used to do. When Tanjiro drew upon those movements, he used the technique Hinokami Kagura, or Fire God's Dance. However, multiple moments point to the sky for the source of firebending power. When Aang and Zuko meet the dragons, they realize that firebending also comes from the life-giving sun.

This is later confirmed during the Day of the Black Sun when the firebenders temporarily lose their bending power thanks to the effects of a solar eclipse. They also gain extra power from Sozin's Comet, another astronomical event.
